Chapter twenty
Az
The alarms are blazing throughout the facility. A clear indication that whoever owns this place knows weâre here.
There is no way Iâm leaving without knowing the location of those kids. I donât care if theyâre onto us. Iâm not abandoning them to be science experiments. They look malnourished and who knows what else theyâve been through.
When I find the person who is doing this to them, Iâm going to kill them.
âTyler, call Matt and tell him to bring more vehicles.â We didnât bring enough cars for them all. I donât give a fuck if they have to steal them. Our guys are resourceful, theyâll find a way to get what we need.
âAlready on it, brother. Theyâre on their way.â He knows me too well. He knew there was no way Iâd be able to leave those children behind. Even if he didnât have the same childhood, I know my brothers would never leave these kids behind.
Memories of my brutal childhood flash through my mind, and I push them back. I can deal with those thoughts later, just not right now. I need to focus on whatâs in front of me. A group of five guards appear right in front of us with guns pointed straight at our heads.
We didnât want to do this, we didnât want to use our power on them, but we have no choice now. Itâs either us or them, and itâs not going to be us.
âThey deserve to die. They watched as kids were experimented on. We should make them pay and kill them all.â
âReady,â Ash says, disrupting my wolfâs thoughts.
âReady,â we say in unison. Less than a full second later, theyâre screaming, holding on to their heads. Blood pours from their eyes as they roll back and fall to the floor.
âWhat the hell?â Kat shouts. âThatâs your magic?â Oh no, weâve scared her. I panic thinking sheâll leave us. Iâve just found her, and I canât let her go. My hand trembles, and I grip my knife tightly. âThatâs so freaking awesome.â She beams with admiration, and my body sags in relief.
âYouâre one of them,â another guard says in disgust. He comes around the corner with a gun pointed at Kat. Iâm not sure why heâd say that, maybe because we killed his friends. âYouâll be locked up and experimented on.â
Just as we suspected, this place is used to poke and probe those kids. Iâm going to kill the person slowly, peeling off their flesh. I can already hear those sweet screams in my ear.
Does Silas know? If he does, then he deserves to be punished.
Everyone involved with this place deserves nothing less than a slow, painful death. The guard laughs like a maniac. âYouâll be killed by his hand.â
âYeah, not happening,â I say as I throw the knife and hit him between his eyes.
âWe gotta keep moving,â Ash says as he steps over the bloodied body. I retrieve my weapon, but not before wiping the blood on his clothes.
We check through the rooms lined up on each side of the wall, but theyâre all closed.
